Venue Coordinator (Works for the Venue)
✅ Focus: The venue and its operations
✅ Responsibilities:
Manages the venue’s staff, setup, and logistics.
Ensures the venue is prepared according to the contract.
Oversees catering (if in-house) and venue-specific vendors.
Handles venue-related emergencies.
🚫 Does NOT: Manage your personal wedding timeline, decor setup, or external vendors.
Day-of Coordinator (Hired by the Couple)
✅ Focus: The couple’s overall wedding day experience
✅ Responsibilities:
Creates and manages the wedding day timeline.
Coordinates all vendors, including florists, photographers, and entertainment.
Oversees decor setup and ensures everything aligns with the couple’s vision.
Handles any last-minute issues to keep the event running smoothly.
🚫 Does NOT: Manage the venue’s operations beyond what affects the couple’s experience.
Key Difference:
The Venue Coordinator ensures the venue runs smoothly, while the Day-of Coordinator ensures the entire wedding day (from start to finish) is executed flawlessly according to the couple’s vision.
